The Julia Child Kitchen is located on the lower level of the James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence. It may be used by those who have reserved space for their event in either the Kresge Foundation Common Room (039) or the Laura M. and Peter T. Grauer Living Room (011).
The kitchen may be used for the following purposes:
1. A potluck gathering among faculty and students. 2. The preparation of a meal. 3. The preparation, plating, and serving of a catered meal
Please consult the Julia Child Kitchen Use Policy before reserving this room. You must be able to follow these rules precisely in order to use the kitchen.
Fees: The kitchen must be used in combination with the rental of either the Kresge Foundation Common Room (039) or the Laura M. and Peter T. Grauer Living Room (011). Rental fees for these rooms apply. Security (for events scheduled outside of normal operating hours): $60 minimum (4 hours at $15 per hour, additional hours extra.) These fees are ordinarily waived for events directly related to undergraduate instruction.
To check availability of this room, please review the calendar for either the Kresge Foundation Common Room (039) or the Laura M. and Peter T. Grauer Living Room (011). Please note that even if a room is not in use during the specific hour you want, a reservation may not be possible due to adjacent events or other logistical factors.
